I had Jensen completely gut and redo my upstairs bathroom. Eric and I met a few times to review the design, he helped me find some of the fixtures I wanted, found me the best price on items including a huge savings on my tub, worked within my budget and basically redesigned the whole bathroom when I changed my mind. We ran into a couple hiccups as you would in a house built in 1921 and they stayed on budget and on schedule, even after we had to completely flip the whole design. Everyone that works for them was great, not only polite but also considerate of us staying in the house while the project happened. I absolutely love my finished bathroom it turned out better than I even imagined. They were great to work with and I highly recommend them.
We hired Jensen Design for an entire house renovation project. We were pleased with the quality of the work and the project was completed on time. Jensen Design was responsive and professional. We would hire Jensen Design again for a future project.
Eric had great vision for renovating to modernize our 1915 house while incorporating the features we liked most about the house. With his collaboration we were able to modify the existing floor plan to fits the needs of our family. He is very personable to work with and understood our vision. He also worked within our budget and gave us recommendations along the way of how to stay within our budget. We are so happy with our finished house and know it will serve our family well for years to come. I don’t doubt the quality of his work will stand the test of time.
We had his team do a almost complete gut and rebuild of our house; new kitchen, 2 1/2 new baths and moving walls, doors and even a staircase. He was knowledgeable even as a few unexpected things came up. (which you can only expect in a 1915 house you bought as is) Considering that he was even able to stay very close to on schedule which was very important to us. My master shower he designed is my favorite place in the house! His tile work is outstanding and he has plenty of creative design ideas. He did a great job inside reusing original trim and making things to match new places. Our modified staircase looks original! He was a pleasure to work with, very personable and considerate of us as the clients.
We hired Jensen Design to finish our basement and they were the best company I could have hoped for in many ways.
1) Most importantly they were all good people. I had to pick a company that I would trust to be in my house when I was not there – but even more importantly – when my wife and kids were. From the moment I met Eric and then his crew I felt completely at ease with them. It got to the point that my daughters would wait by the door every morning until “The Erics” showed up to work and would pepper them with questions and show them pictures they colored for the crew. His guys would always take time and actually listen to my girls. I have never met a company of contractors/workmen that would do the little things like that. I truly liked everyone that came to work and my family was happy when the job was finished so we could live in our space – but my girls daily stated they were sad the workers were gone. You can stop reading now and just hire Jensen Design for this reason alone.
2) We had some ideas in mind of what we wanted with design ideas but Eric was able to take them from our head, tweak them, and make a beautiful and functional space for our family. We would give him general concepts and he designed exactly what we could have planned if I had his expert design mind. A few ideas Eric had I questioned but now have been some of my favorite things we did.
3) His crew was efficient, kept us informed of plans for the day/week very well, kept the rest of the house very clean as they worked. The website that Jensen uses to keep everyone in the loop is an excellent tool to keep the homeowner involved in the process and make it easy to ask questions/make changes at a moments notice
4) They did GREAT work. All we get is complements on the basement now. We got our home refinanced and thus appraised and the appraiser said 3-4 times that no homes in our area have a basement as nice as ours. We agree. This is exactly what we had pictured when we bought the house. What was once a cold and stark area has become the best part of our house and where our family lives most of the day.
I have and will continue to recommend Jensen Design to all of our family and friends and we will be having them out soon to redo our bathrooms and kitchen.
